This is the story of how I came to meet award winning
country music stars

Jack Blanchard & Misty Morgan

and why I wrote my line dance to their #1 hit song.

***************************************************

Jack Blanchard and Misty Morgan's hit song, Tennessee Birdwalk, was the original inspiration for the events that led to this story.

I first heard this song on Internet radio in November 2004, shortly after I first started listening to country music on the internet. After hearing it regularly for several weeks, I decided I wanted a copy for myself. I found it such a catchy song, but I couldn't find anywhere to buy it. After a lot of searching I tracked down Jack's website and e-mailed him to ask where I could buy it.

This song earned Jack and Misty a #1 hit, a Grammy nomination and the Billboard Duo of the Year award in 1970, before they went on to have another 14 charted songs.

They have since received a number of other awards over the years, most notably their induction into the New York Country Music Hall of Fame in 2004. This was followed by their induction into the Buffalo (NY) Music Hall of Fame in 2010.

Their music is still loved by fans worldwide and, thanks to the digital age, their music

is now easily available again from CD Baby and other sites.

The line dance 'Tennessee Birdwalk', which I choreographed to this song, was written because I could not find one already written. I felt it was a great song to dance to, but I had never considered becoming a choreographer prior to hearing it.

Not only has it led to this dance being created, but it has also led to a close friendship being forged between Jack & Misty and myself.

This is the fourth reincarnation of the original website which was built in 2005 with the full approval of Jack & Misty. It became necessary to build this new site as the previous site was not responsive. This caused problems for people viewing it on smartphones and small tablets.
